No doubt, Fran works start from the analysis of reality, in particular of some phenomena related to it - lights and shadows, impossible perspectives, bizarre vision - in general simple subjects, even minimal but led out of all rules.
Although they are undoubtedly figurative images, Fran Bobadilla's paintings go towards abstraction. The subject of the work - which comes from an intimate reinterpretation and personal of the natural phenomena related to vision - becomes reality pretext to capture the attention of the beholder, to place it on the work.
The paintings evoke and suggest rather than tell, they are open to the imagination and open a comparison with the personal experience of each. They don't try to say but just show what they are. These works provoke strangely familiar reminiscences and they recall memories and suggestions, leaving us an unconscious respect to what triggers this process and conversely - thanks to this bewilderment - attracted and fascinated.
